Louis Vuitton Empreinte Metis Monogram Leather Black Pochette Métis – Bag

I truly love this piece and would happily purchase again if more colors are released. Highly recomme
First of all, please understand that I have never been interested in Louis Vuitton style, either in clothes or bags (but, did this bag change my mind?). Secondly, in creating this review, I did not have an actual LV Métis Pochette to which I could make actual comparisons. I had to use online sources, including the LV website and multiple reviews by other influencers. While I appreciated their opinions, I, frankly, used their vids for image captures from which to determine what the authentic bags look like and to share their tactile observations.

Characteristic comparisons (using “this bag” to indicate the Gorchic replica):

1. Hardware: The gold hardware appears quite bright and shiny. Online opinions vary as to whether the gold should appear shiny. However, I observed authentic bags which had quite shiny hardware, so it’s hard to tell. My concern was more about the tone of the gold which had some rosy undertones. All of the hardware was appropriate—the front S-clasp look and action were correct, as were the rivets which held the D-rings for the shoulder straps. (See the note below on the shoulder strap buckle.). Hardware: 9/10.
2. Branding/Font: Most LV fakes have an incorrect font. The official font is “Futura Medium,” and the tells are that the “O” should be spherical and not oval, the “T” and “L” are thinner than the vowels, the “T”s are close together, and the registered trademark encircled R should be smaller in size than the branding. The cut of the engraving should be crisp, level, and sharp. All of the font appeared correct as compared to the authentic online examples. The second facet to font/branding is placement—is the branding in the correct place? For this bag, the only incorrect placement was on the buckle of the strap. For the Métis in canvas, the shoulder straps buckle has branding on the sides of the buckle; the two authentic Métis in leather that I saw online did not. Branding/Font: 8/10.

Finally got the upgraded Metis bag, the hardware on this version is on another level — the gold clasp has real weight and depth to it. The Empreinte leather is deeper, more consistent. This new upgrade version is 100% worth it.
